Why Everyone Should Learn the Markets

Most Americans know they need to invest in the markets as part of their retirement planning. Some may have even started investing, participating in 401(k) plans, opening IRAs, buying bonds and possibly even trading a stock or two.

Unfortunately, most people haven't even begun, and don't know where to start. Let's face it: The markets can be intimidating. And right now, trust is being siphoned out of the market by fear, and many are abandoning the notion of stock investing all together.

Everyone should understand the basics - others will get hooked

Intimidating or not, everyone needs to have a basic understanding of the markets. Even if you don't plan to actively trade a portfolio, you should plan to have some investments, and an understanding of what those investments are doing and how they are performing.

The education we offer on this site will help you understand what the market is, how it works and how you can profit from it. As you begin learning with us, you'll be able to determine just how involved you want to become as an investor. You may decide you simply don't have the time or desire to become active in your investing. You may simply want to learn enough to select a good broker, and intelligently speak to him.

But you may take the lessons in our courses and become attracted to the market. Or you may decide that nobody is going to look after your investments better than you, and you'll be able to learn what you need to know to create profit in your retirement portfolio. And you may just get hooked on the fun and even addicting nature of trading. Either way, this site provides the information you need to know, from very basic to very advanced.

We teach investing methods you can apply and profit from

We don't teach day trading. And we don't believe the markets are a vehicle to get rich quick. They do, however, provide instruments for long-term profit, year after year, which can help you build the retirement you want and the nest-egg you deserve.

So spend the time it takes to gain a basic understanding of the markets. Even if you only learn what that 401(k) really is, you'll be miles ahead. But be careful, you might get hooked!

But before you start, understand what you should know before you invest.
