Are you bullish on the NZD/USD, are you bearish on the NZD/USD, or do you not have the foggiest idea what direction this currency pair is going to go?

Share your thoughts and ask you questions here.

What questions do you have about the NZD/USD? What are you looking at---both fundamentally and technically---that makes you think the NZD/USD is either going up or down?

Let's get the conversation rolling. We're happy to answer your questions, and you'll be amazed at what you can learn from each other.

Watch for the NZD/USD to continue to decline as the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) continues to cut interest rates.

Well, Wade it didn't break. That support held but now it's nearing 60. Quite interested in knowing what your thoughts are at this point. I haven't been trading as long as you and John but every time I hear a rumor about interest rate cuts and it's confirmed, that particular pair trades lower for the next couple weeks.

Now, this is a slightly different situation but the expectation is that the fed is going to continue to drop interest rates and there is speculation they may do what Japan did. Yes, the kiwi has a higher interest rate and will have to cut but with the fed pumping so many dollars into the global economy, it's bound to have a bad effect on the dollar shouldn't it? Or does this action not matter because other countries will have to do the same? I'm a little perplexed because these pairs have shot up 500-1300 pips in a couple days in some cases and there isn't a lot of weakness in that as of now.

I still think the NZD/USD still has some room to fall...at least back down to the support level it recently formed at 0.5400, if not all the way down to 0.5000. The fact that it hasn't broken up and through 0.6000 is a bearish sign for me.

Let's see if the resistance level at 0.6000 can hold for one more day and take it from there.

Potential trend reversal today. That was my thought yesterday when it didn't break down convincingly after the rate announcement...

Hope all is well with your trading. You still think the kiwi is going to move higher, even with the statement of their bank coming out tomorrow which will more than likely be dovish on growth and with a pending rate cut which will almost certainly be at least a point cut?
